GB7HQ in 2009:
The UK national team again entered the IARU World HF Championship on 11-12 July 2009. This was our third year with the callsign : GB7HQ.

The 2009 entry was the seventh time that GB5HQ/GB7HQ has operated as a fully integrated multi-site nationwide station for the 24 hours of the IARU World HF Championship.

GB5HQ/GB7HQ has operated on a multi-site basis from 2003 to 2008 and has made over 88,000 QSOs during these six nationwide contest operations. Details of previous claimed scores and published scores for GB5HQ/GB7HQ can be found on the scores page.

Photos of the GB7HQ stations operating in 2008/2009 are available on this web-site. Check each of the band-mode stations. Photos for 2009 will be added as they are received.

There is a series of free GB7HQ Awards for the 2009 event, managed by John G3LZQ. The 2009 GB7HQ Award winners can be found here.

Some 25,000 QSLs have been distributed for the IARU operations during the past six years.

In addition over 107,000 GB5HQ/GB7HQ QSOs (including the 1994, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 operations) have been up-loaded to LoTW.

Details of the multi-site stations operating in previous years (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008) can be found in the GB5HQ/GB7HQ archives section of the web-site.

Thanks for trying to work GB7HQ on as many bands and modes as possible during the 2009 IARU World HF Championship : 11-12 July 2009
